2001 - 2003
In Feb. 2002, Pastor Craig announced to
the congregation the news of his call of God to the
wilderness of Alaska; a pulpit committee has been formed to
search for God's man to fill the pulpit. Pastor Craig
resigned effective Jan. 1, 2004, to allow him to
concentrate on deputation and raise support to go to
Alaska.
A Deacon, Richard Grover (a former Pastor) was appointed to
fill the pulpit during the search for a new pastor.

Dear Church Family,
I have given the deacons official notice of my
resignation, effective January 1, 2004. It was not an
easy decision to make, but I believe it is the right
decision at this time.
I find myself trying to do the work of two full-time
ministries, and neither ministry is flourishing
because my attention must be divided; that's no good--
we need to move forward.
Pray for the Pulpit Search Committee. They have been
working very hard to find the man that the Lord has
already chosen to lead this ministry. It is a heavy
responsibility that they bear, and the need your help
(2 Cor. 1:11a). So far, they have done an outstanding
job. Don't be discouraged by the apparent slow pace of
the search-- I can assure you that they are working on
it. It is a difficult task. Just keep in mind that
every man that they consider (and reject) brings us
that much closer to the one God has set aside for
Newfield.
Please pray for us, that the Lord will help us to
raise our support, and get to the field quickly.
People are dying up there every day who have never
heard the Gospel.
You have been a wonderful first church! The Lord
blessed us greatly by leading us to Newfield. We love
you all, and will miss you a bunch.

Yours in Christ,
Pastor and Heidi
