1946 - 1951

David P. Wright was called as pastor on June 5, 1946. He instituted ten weeks of Kids Klub every year with an attendance of over 100 boys and girls. In July, he conducted the Newfield Summer Bible Conference held in the Edgarton Grove for two weeks; everyone was welcome. His wife was a talented musician aiding in his ministry.

During his pastorate, the Reid lot, across the street from the church, was purchased for parking. Pastor Wright resigned August 19, 1951.
Albert and Dorothy Gaunt were sent out as missionaries to Zaire, Africa, in 1949. They were on the field for 35 years. The "retired" in 1985, but a Christian never retires from serving the Lord, Albert served on the Board of Deacons through 2002, while Dorothy was our librarian for several years.

In 2007, due to their health, the Gaunts relocated to the Veterans Home in Vineland, and, on August 11, 2007, Albert "graduated" to glory. The Gaunts are truly a living testimony that retirement does not mean ceasing to do our LORD’S work!
